  1. Improved

New brand mark: favicon, app icons and share image

QRMinds' new mark is a QR finder pattern: a square ring with an inner square and a single red module in the bottom-right corner. The same mark now appears in the site header, the browser tab favicon, the icons shown when you add QRMinds to a phone, and the image shown when a link is shared.

The old logo was unreadable at small sizes and did not match the print-style design of the site. Every asset is generated from one SVG source, so it looks the same everywhere.

  2. Improved

Emails in the new design, in Turkish and English

The welcome, subscription and payment emails moved to the site's print-style design: paper background, one accent colour, subject lines without emoji.

Every email now exists in Turkish and English; the welcome email is sent in the language of the page you signed up on.

  3. Fixed

EPC (SEPA) bank transfer QR codes put the reference and message on the right lines

The EPC069-12 standard requires the purpose-code line to be present even when it is empty. The generator skipped it, so the payment reference moved onto the purpose line and the message onto the reference line; banking apps may reject such a code or show the wrong remittance information.

Create, edit and the scan page now share one EPC builder. It also checks field lengths, the IBAN without spaces, the EUR amount format and the total size limit.

  4. Fixed

PIX QR codes are now generated in the official BR Code format

PIX QR codes used to be written in a format of our own. They are now generated in the official BR Code (EMV) format defined by the Banco Central do Brasil, the one Brazilian banking apps expect: the PIX key, recipient name, city, amount and transaction id go into the standard's fields and the code ends with a checksum (CRC).

PIX codes created earlier were written in the old format; the edit page still reads them.

  5. Fixed

Wi-Fi QR: special characters in the network name and password now scan correctly

The Wi-Fi QR standard requires ; , : " and \ in the network name and password to be escaped. They were written as-is, so a password containing ;, for example, did not follow the standard and could be read wrongly.

The generator and the edit page now escape these characters according to the standard, and the card on the scan page shows and copies the value correctly.
